TYPES OF GINSENG

Wild Ginseng: Naturally propagated and grown in deep mountain forests, this is an ecologically pristine form of ginseng. Its seeds fall naturally or are dispersed by birds/animals, germinating and growing in the wild without human intervention. It remains undisturbed, unmanaged, and matures through long-term natural growth.

Forest-Cultivated Ginseng: Seeds are manually sown in mountain forests, where the ginseng grows naturally for over 15 years.

Transplanted Wild Ginseng: Ginseng with partial characteristics of wild ginseng, initially cultivated in artificial beds and later transplanted into mountain forest environments.

Cultivated Ginseng (Garden Ginseng): Fully artificially cultivated ginseng, grown from seeds planted in human-made beds under controlled conditions.

TYPES OF GINSENG

Body
The body is agile and wild in shape, not stiff or rigid. The rhizome nodes vary in length and are not as aesthetically pleasing as those of transplanted mountain ginseng.

Rhizome
Thick at the top and thin at the bottom. The rhizome nodes grow alternately, mostly round or horse-tooth-shaped, with rare variations in form.

Lines
Spiral lines (iron wire lines) are deep and delicate. Most have broken or floating lines (due to soil conditions; few lack lines entirely).

Rootlets
Few rootlets with good flexibility. Pearl-like spots are distinct.

TYPES OF GINSENG

1. Replenishes Primordial Qi: In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), "primordial qi" is considered the foundational energy that sustains life and drives bodily functions. Ginseng powerfully restores this vital force.

2. Boosts Immunity: Ginsenosides and ginseng polysaccharides enhance immune function, benefiting both healthy individuals and those with weakened immunity.

3. Warms and Strengthens Kidney Yang: Ginseng improves reproductive health and alleviates age-related declines in sexual function.

4. Regulates Blood Sugar and Lipids: Ginsenosides (e.g., Rb2) and polysaccharides significantly lower blood sugar and lipid levels.

5. Improves Cardiac Function: Ginsenosides enhance myocardial contraction, reduce heart rate, and increase coronary blood flow, combating ischemia and arrhythmias.

6. Anticancer Properties: Compounds like ginsenosides, polysaccharides, and volatile oils inhibit tumor growth.
